SIYAPATHA is a group ,which is mainly focused on to find out the various folk songs in the Sri Lanka among all races.From that we keen to find out more details of folk songs which are distributed in Wayamba province.This is a part of our work which is done under the course unit of LFN 1X10 ,Social Harmony & Conflict Resolution of the faculty of Livestock Fisheries & Nutrition of Wayamba university of Sri Lanka.

About Us

Objectives

. To identify different types of folk songs and how they have related to the religion, cultural festivals, and occupations of the folk.

·To identify folk songs available in different races, and how they have interconnected to the day to day life of the population in different regions.

·To aware the relationship and similarities available in folk songs of different races.

·To make familiarize the university students about different kinds of folk songs.
